Lesson focus

Today, we'll introduce farewells.
As we learned in the previous lesson, Cześć can mean both "Hello" and "Bye." However, we can use this expression in informal situations only.
There are other ways of saying "Good-bye" in Polish.
A parting expression that we can use for all occasions is Do widzenia, which means "Good-bye."
When saying "Goodnight," the word Dobranoc is the appropriate choice.
There are also several informal phrases for saying "See you" or "So long" besides Cześć (English for "Bye"). The most popular one is Do zobaczenia, which means "See you."
Another frequently used phrase is Na razie, meaning "So long."

Outro

Okay, to close out this lesson, we'd like you to practice what you've just learned. I'll provide you with the English equivalent of the phrase and you're responsible for shouting it aloud. You have a few seconds before I give you the answer, so powodzenia, which means “good luck” in Polish.
