I am Polish but grew up never learning the language from my parents or grandparents. I always heard it spoken at family holidays and while my father was on the phone, but putting a simple sentence together was beyond me. I've only listened to 2 lessons but learned more in two days, than my entire life of just hearing it in passing. I was actually able to even say please and thank you properly to a Polish nurse who attended to me after a car accident.

I have been wanting to learn Polish for years, ever since I made a good friend from Poland, and it has always been so daunting because of the lack of materials available (in comparison to popular world languages such as Spanish or French). When I discovered the basic subscription of PolishPod101 for an affordable price, I was so excited! I am still at a very basic level, but I am steadily listening my way through the lessons and love having the PDFs for reference.
