Lesson focus

In the previous lesson, we learned how to ask the bus driver if the bus covers your destination. Once on the bus, you can look at the electric information board and check what the next bus stop will be. As we mentioned before, in older buses there is no information board so your only option would be to ask what the next bus stop is. |
The question "What is the next stop?" is Jaki jest następny przystanek? The first word, jaki, means "what." |
Then we have jest, meaning "is." Jest is followed by następny ("next"). |
The last word in our phrase is przystanek, meaning "stop." |
Another way of inquiring could be to ask if your desired destination is the next stop. |
For this phrase, we will use Wawel, the famous hill in Cracow on which the Royal Castle is located. It will be our destination. In Polish, the phrase is Czy następny przystanek to Wawel? ("Is Wawel the next stop?") |

You have a few seconds before I give you the answer, so powodzenia, which means “good luck” in Polish. |
